Mi Rancho Mexican Restaurant - Hackensack

Great Mexican restaurant! Food was delicious, authentic and reasonably priced. Wait staff was very pleasant. Highly recommend the carne asada dish. We also had the tacos with rice and frijoles. It’s was flavorful and a good portion.

Highly recommend their Quesadilla with Chorizo. For dessert I really enjoyed their flan. Al pastor taco was a little too crispy (borderline burnt) but other than that everything else was 10/10.

Possibly the best salsa I've ever had in the state of New Jersey. The chicken tacos were fantastic and my husband loved the Al pastor. The staff were super friendly and the prices were good

Opened in March 2008, this family-run establishment has the goal of offering authentic Mexican food and is located in downtown Hackensack. As a lunch break from jury duty today, I ventured to Mi Rancho Mexican Restaurant on Main Street, just a block from the courthouse, as a first-timer. Upon entering this small, well-decorated, and clean interior, I was welcomed by the staff and promptly sat at a table. The menu is pretty standard, with a few unique choices, including combo platters, for $11. I decided on the lunch menu with two crispy meat tacos accompanied by rice and beans. To wash it down with Aqua de Jamaica (hibiscus tea), a complimentary chip and salsa began my meal. Everything was fresh, served hot, tasted good, and was authentic. The portion was generous. The service was friendly and fast. The price point was perfect, so I can recommend this place.

Best underrated Mexican restaurant around. No need for the crazy atmosphere or loud decorations. This place relies on the taste of the food. Fresh and amazing Mexican cuisine. The best steak around. There is nothing on the menu I wouldn’t recommend. The service is amazing and I do believe this is a family run restaurant. Very clean. Bring cash for discount. There’s a fee for credit card.

We ordered take out. Food was fun, filling, and delicious. We especially love chiles relieno and the mini empanaras appetizer with a sweet hot sauce. Soft tacos fresh and delicious could have had a a little more filling aa well as the qyesadilla more cheese. But overall a 10 . Now on our local food list of places to go. The man who took the order was very professional too.
